Senior's 2010/11 LRTL

With expectations high after the 2009/10 12th place finish, South Leeds Saints began the summer in fine form. The squad had great depth and looked close enough for a promising season ahead.

However with players moving away, unable to fully commit with work & LUFC commitments and long term injury absentees, the squad dwindled and was on the verge of collapse until the Burchett Boys entered the fray. Ross Balloch and his band of merry men pulled SLS out of the doldrums and helped the side to a 3 month unbeaten run, a cup semi final and 5th place finish.

Dan Kelly finished top scorer, slightly short of Dale Swift's 2009/10 goal haul but would have surpassed this with a full season at SLS. At the end of season awards night Rob Harrop and Dan Kelly picked up the manager and player's player of the season gongs respectively, with Greg Meade winning the PAL Award for the second consecutive season.

With an increasing closer and stronger squad, SLS look to start the 2011/12 in fine fashion.
