Director - Academy Of Sport [22 Jul @ 10:00pm]

Russ Horsley Russ is an experienced UEFA qualified coach who has also worked as an FA Coach Educator for a number of years. Russ has many years of experience working with young players in FE Colleges. Russ is also a qualified FE lecturer who holds further qualifications in, SAQ, Sports Injury, First Aid, Safe Guarding Children and FA Club Welfare. He has worked at many levels within the game both in this country and abroad and is also involved in the ECFA International Squad management team. Russ also carries out all the league administration for The ECFA.

Coach - Matt Elliott [22 Jul @ 10:00pm]

Matt is known to most people as an outstanding player for Leicester City and Scotland.Matt began his career in non-league football with Leatherhead and Epsom & Ewell, before getting his first taste of professional football with Charlton Athletic. Unable to break into the Charlton first-team, he moved to Torquay United within a year. He then worked his way up the ladder, signing for Scunthorpe United in March 1992, moving on to Oxford United in November 1993, and finally getting his chance in the Premiership when he was signed by Leicester City in early 1997 for a transfer fee of £1.6 million, which to this day remains Oxford's record sale. Matt was an instant success at Leicester, and went on to captain the side. He was in fact the first person to captain the Foxes at their new Walkers Stadium in 2002. Matt usually played as a central defender, though he was also an effective emergency centre forward . Highlights of his career include scoring both goals for Leicester in their victorious League Cup final against Tranmere Rovers in 2000. He also won promotion to Division One with Oxford United in the 1995-96 season. Matt also played a number of European games with his last being an appearance in Leicester's 3-1 defeat to Red Star Belgrade on 28 September 2000 in the 2001 UEFA Cup.[2] It was also the club's last ever European match before relegation the next season. During his career Matt played well over 600 league games and represented Scotland on 18 occasions scoring one goal. In addition to working at the college Matt also works for Leicester City FC Football In the Community helping young players learn from his vast experience

Coach - John Horsley [22 Jul @ 10:00pm]

John is a UEFA qualified coach who has worked for a number of years as an FA Coach Educator. John has worked at almost every level of the game and brings many years of experience to the FDC at the college. John has also spent a number of years working within FDC in colleges of FE so bring s a good understanding of the needs of these young players to the scheme. Holding qualifications in SAQ, Sports Injury, Futsal, First Aid and Safe Guarding Children John is well placed to support the players on the scheme. John has also lived and coached in mainland Spain working with both junior and senior players.
