CLUB HISTORY
06/07 season review (30/05/07)

In their first year of existence, Spinney had some highs and lows during the season. With some players who lacked commitment and only turned up when they felt like it, it made it very difficult to build a settled 11 and create any form of stability among the lads.

However, new additions throughout look to have made that a thing of the past.

There were some major lows in regards to scorelines, but this couldn't be helped when all new teams, regardless of ability are put into the same league in their first season.

The high points of the season were the great team spirit throughout and a very hard battled victory and clean sheet against FC Sparks.

Spinney finished second from bottom, albeit 7 points clear of the basement team. The season was always going to be hit and miss, being the first, but there are now clear goals for the second season - to finish higher and with more points than 2006/07!

Yes, unless it is an important game.
