Sport London e Benfica face St.Neots Town FC at HOME in the FA Vase
Today's draw presented SLB with another Step 5 team to face in the FA Vase, United Counties League Premier Division's St.Neots Town FC.
Based in Cambridgeshire, they were founded in 1879. Despite their long history, they have had their ups and downs. As recently as 1987 the team was disbanded as their landlords sold their ground for housing. They were to reform 2 years later and bounce back to sign a 40 year lease on a 4.5 acre plot for their ground after tireless fundraising by the club committee.
By the photos on the website, their facilities do not fail to impress.
LAST 16 in the FA VASE
The Saints have now firmly established themselves one of the leading Clubs at their level and season 2001/2002 has seen the Club reach the last sixteen of the FA Vase for the first time in their history, finally bowing out 2-1 at Durham City.
A team that has an average attendance of over 200, it should be a good atmosphere at Reynolds Field.
Don't miss it!
