Girls football is alive and kicking on the Fylde Coast as was evident this afternoon when St Annes Red Stars welcomed YMCA U12 to Blackpool Road. StARS started very stong only conceeding one goal in the first half with impressive defending by Faye and some great play between Izzy and Molly D. Both Lauren E and Mae made some good saves.


The second half saw YMCA score again but not without more impressive saves by Casey and Faye. Both Ava and Izzy were unlucky not to score when they had shots saved by the capable YM keeper.


All the girls showed how much the team is improving and although we saw some points to work on, everyone should be righly proud of a good display and all done with plenty of smiles.
