Club History

Founded in 1972 as a catholic club, Our Lady Junior Football Club has changed dramatically over the last 30 years. For a brief period the club considered changing its name to Notre Dame FC (The French version of Our Lady), however in 2005 the club was reformed as St Annes FC to reflect the growing diversity of the players, coaching staff and all involved with the club.

In 2006 St Annes FC was granted Football Association Charter Standard, showing that the club had met the FA’s most stringent levels of coaching, administration, football development and child protection.

Today the club has teams in local leagues across the range of youth football including the Spirit of Youth League for under 7’s / 8’s, the Poulton & District League for under 9’s and under 10’s and the Blackpool & District Youth Football League which covers age groups from under 11’s to under 16’s.

Club Playing / Training Facilities

St Annes play their home games at the Blackpool Road North playing fields in St Annes. The playing fields are used for regular training sessions throughout the playing season and also for trials, pre-season training and friendlies during the summer months. The club also use Lytham High School and Ramsgate Road as other training venues.
