Staplehurst Monarchs U9's have had a tremendous season in 2006/07. After winning Division 3 in 2005/06 with a team made up mostly of U8's the boys were promoted to the U9's Premier Division for the 2006/07 season.
The boys justified their place in that league by winning the division by 2 points from Snodland Nomads. The boys crowned a great season by beating Coxheath & Farleigh 4-2 in the Challenge Cup Final at Cobdown to complete the 'double'.
The teams success has attracted scouts from professional clubs, one being Crystal Palace who signed captain Thomas Mackelden. We are now looking to strengthen further for next season when the club will be entering 2 teams at U10's in preperation for 2008/09 season when we go to eleven a side and will require a larger squad.
Since the end of the league season the boys have gone on to win 2 summer tournaments at Langton Green and more recently the annual 7 a side competition at Larkfield FC notching up 13 wins, 2 draws and no defeats in the process.
