Future Plans...
It is now confirmed that The Monarchs U10's will merge with West Farleigh U10's for the 2007/08 season as Staplehurst Monarchs U11's. Also from after our presentation day, Mike Richards, Lee Seal & Kevin Smith, will take over running the team. The likelihood is that Kevin Smith, (current Farleigh Manager) will manage the new squad with Mike and Lee conducting all the admin, arrangements, training and match day stuff. I'm sure you'll all give Kevin, Mike and Lee you continued support.
U11's will be at 11-A-Side, off-side rule and on a larger pitch, for 30mins each half, so fitness will be a key issue for the boys. The Invicta Primary league rules are that a minimum if 14 players are signed on and a maximum of 15, so there might be some changes needed depending on availability of all the players from West Farleigh. Mike, Lee or I will keep you posted.
Training....
We will have a break for a few weeks until Saturday May 13th, when the squad will train together for the first time as a new team.
Integration of all boys, formation, team selection, the dreaded off-side rule and fitness will be covered at this training. I suggest 10am until 11:30.
Following this Kevin, Mike & Lee will highlight future plans for training days/times and friendly games leading up to the start of the new season.
Events.....
First run out will be on May 20th at the club presentation day as we play at 11-a-side against the current Monarchs U11's. The day should kick off at 10am and games played at provisionally at 10:30, please arrive promptly.
Important Note: Please bring both Blue and Red shirts on the day, as we will be taking team photos for both sponsors.
We have 2 tournaments booked which are: -
Larkfield on June 16th June 7-A-Side (squad to be announced).
Aylesford on Saturday 1st September 11-A-Side (Full Squad).
Please let Lee or Myself know if your not available for either of these dates.
It is likely that some friendly games will be arranged through the summer as 11-a-side training games with some of the freindly local teams.(Dates to be discussed).
