St. Albans Rangers were made to pay after gifting Wheathampstead 89 a number of good goalscoring opportunities. It was the visitors though who stormed into an early lead going 2-0 up with goals from Neil Bishop and Martin Doyle. Wheathampstead had a number of chances to get back in the game and did so scoring twice to level the scores up before Neil Bishop volleyed home his second of the game. St. Albans Rangers weren't able to hold out until half time though as the home side drew level once again. Wheathampstead 89 started the second half brightly and killed the game scoring 3 goals within 15 minutes of the re-start. The game was wrapped up with the last kick of the game by another goal for the home side in what proved to be a convincing win after a difficult start for Wheathampstead 89.
