In the UK in 2009 alone, over 200 local sports clubs and community groups were forced to fold due to the economic downturn and ongoing financial crisis.

Bag4sport Ltd was born out of the dilemma that many grass roots organisations face, originally sports clubs, when trying to raise vital cash for their projects, equipment, sponsorship, and day to day survival. 

The founders of Bag4sport Andy Trusler and Jide Ihenacho are keen supporters of grass roots sport. They considered various ways of addressing this problem, and found that the revenue generated from the textile recycling market could be directly used to help sports clubs, individuals and community organisations in dire straits.

Bag4Sport Ltd have now raised funds for over 1500 groups across the UK, and beyond our textile recycling, have now been able to provide sponsorship for clubs in Wiltshire, Kent, Essex, S. Wales, and Scotland.
