FORMATION
01 Jan 2009

The Club St. Francis was formed in 1980 by local school teacher. Which produced several LEAGUE players, one who plays in the PREMIERSHIP Michael Brown and Mark Taylor who plays for local team MIDDLESBROUGH. Sadly due to poor ran club, it was necessary to re-form under the name St. Francis 2000. This being the year we re-formed. Starting with three teams the club as grown to provide football for BOYS / GIRLS / MEN and WOMEN. From the age of 4yrs. to open age.
Currently FA COMMUNITY CHARTER STANARD CLUB, this being achieved on September 2006.
We are at present in the process of seeking to develop our
Rossmere Way site to provide changing facilities for teams upto the age of 14yrs.
Over the years the club as had countless success, with our teams.
None more than our under 18yrs. When in their first season in the league, ran by Durham County FA. We won the southern section, and went on to become overall CHAMPIONS winning a league that ran from RIPON in the south to NEW HARTLEY in the North. Following year this team went on to do the league and cup double at under 21yrs.
Our Ladies team formed in 2006 have gained promotion each year apart from season 2006/07. 2007/08 they were a treble winning side,
2008/09 they were promoted to the Premier division of the North East Regional Womens League. The real claim to fame came with the invitation from H.C.F.E. to be part of their new inivative to promote sport within Hartlepool and surronding area, this is without doubt an HONOUR to be recognised in such a way.
