Stithians finally lose after a fantastic 8 game unbeaten run to a strong Holmans side.

Stithians always knew this would be a tough game, especially after being beaten 6-0 at home to Holmans earlier in the season.

The match was a tight affair with no real chances for either team.

The only goal of the game came indirectly from the penalty spot after Beevers had brought down the Holmans centre forward. Griffiths did manage to save the resulting penalty kick but the Holmans player followed up his own effort to tap home the rebound.

Stithians had a great chance to equalise when Bale crossed into the box for the on rushing Faulkner who just steered wide of the right hand post.

Stithians will be looking to bounce back and start a new unbeaten run, starting next week.
