Inter Macc 5
Under 10's Raiders 4
Reshaun (3)
Ellis (1)

It was a trip into the foggy countryside for the Raiders today, our opposition being Inter Macc, the venue Priory Park, with a squad of 12 including a new face to the line up Lequornne. Unfortunately we had another of our famous "half a sleep" starts, slowly getting going with a couple of attempts on goal by Reshaun and Remi, but then being punished when an Inter Macc counter attack got deflected into our own net from an attempted clearance. Raiders started working harder, Ben did his bit in defence despite not being well. Michael stepped up for Ben, putting in another strong performance. The lads started to attack with Shaun nearly scoring, after a cannoned clearance by Inter Macc ricocheted off his knee cap. Shaun limped off and was replaced by Ellis. Football was improving until a lapse in concentration allowed Inter Macc to score again 2-0. This second goal pushed the Raiders up a gear, with Remi and Reshaun nearly scoring several times. Adam and Kamal also getting a grip of the game at the back. When the half time whilstle blew the vikings were in charge.
Lequornne replaced Remi in the second half. With great attacking football being played, however despite this new revival and a great job in goals by Requan we let in 2 more goals one being from an unfortunate penalty. Down 4-0 but not mission impossible for these fellas. All the team grabbed the game by the scruff of the neck turning the game around. Ellis got the first viking goal to set us on our way "great shot". Reshaun followed that by scoring his own "hat trick". 4-4. At this stage a victory was possible but not to be. Inter Macc grabbing a goal in the last minutes 5-4.
After a short rest second match was played with Inter Macc, Jonathan and Oliver in the starting line up. Their contribution to this game was amazing. Oliver heading a great clearance and fighting for every ball that came his way. Jonathan shadowing Inter Macc's strikers and closing down all their attacks. Shaun helped out in defence leaving a raiders strike force to score 8 goals to Inter Macc's 1. Goals by Remi, Reshaun, Michael and Lequornne. Finally a great penalty save by Requan put the icing on the cake! Once again fantastic footbal was played, well done to both Vikings and Inter Macc for a "great" game of football, excellent to watch.

Golden goal all the way, removing one player from each team at regular intervals
Extra time, then shootout - players start on halfway and have 15 seconds to shoot
Might as well just toss a coin!
