Originally formed in 1928 under the name of Stockport Secondary School Old Boys the club joined the Lancashire & Cheshire Amateur Football League in 1929. In 1930 the club changed it's name to Stockport Seconians and in 1938 the name Old Stoconians was adopted which has remained until the start of the 2006-2007 season when our current name of Stoconians was introduced.
Over the years the club has developed from running two teams, which is the minimum requirement of the Lancashire & Cheshire League, to the current position of running 5 teams in the Lancashire and Cheshire League.
