07/08 was Stonehouses best ever season after just missing out on promotion the previous season by goal difference Manager Peter Trevaskus dipped into the transfer market to strengthen his squad signing Charles Dougall, Danny Zalick, Darren Swabey, James Viney, James Emery, John Pinsard, Mike Hubber, Muslin Ahmed and Wayne Lambert who all played a major part in our success.
The survivors of the previous seasons dissapointment were Andy Collins, Chris Western, Chris Stock, Dave Short, Duncan Short, Lee Hubber, Lee Bannister, Marc Bellerby, Matt King, Nick Hubber, Peter Trevaskus, Rob Trevaskus and Ryan Melbourne.
The mixture of new and old players could not have been any better with increased competition accross the board.

The new signings also saw Stonehouse Glass FC's average attendence double with new loyal supporters Sue and Dan Swabey beginning to follow Pete Trevaskus green and white army.

We won our first ever silverware in true roy of the rovers style with it all coming down to our final game.....We were 0 v 1 down to Vospers at half time whilst our title rivals Modbury Rovers were 0 v 2 up against Walkhampton FC, In the next 45 minutes the title was decided as SGFC won 3 v 1 and Modbury let there 2 goal lead slip to lose 4 v 2.....
