Nick joined Strathendrick when he first moved to Scotland in 1993. As well playing in every season since he has coached the Minis and the Midis - including leading the youth tour to Canada in 2003 - and the Central Crusaders. He was 3rd XV Captain for two years and now occasionally referees. Nick was Club Treasurer before taking on his current duties as President.
An inveterate tourist Nick has been on 'Endrick tours to Canada, Dublin (on several occasions!) Swansea and to the inaugral Islay Beach Rugby Tournament.
Nick's playing career began some 40 years ago (!!!) as a prop forward in the 1st year at Secondary School before moving out to the threequarters (much more sensible!). He was Captain of the 1st XV at Rickmansworth Grammar School before playing for Armstrong Rugby Club at Newcastle University, Aylesbury, Worcester (before the game went professional) and South Leicester. In his day he was a centre with quite a turn of pace and a regular try scorer - happy days .............
Nick is married to Jackie (who he sees occasionally) and has two children Rick (medical student at Aberdeen; scum half) and Katy (Glasgow Uni and bar tender). Nick is a business manager at BBC Scotland.
