Stratton started brightly and took the lead after 3 minutes after a Nick Purcell shot was parried by the Pensilva keeper and Mike Taylor was on hand to score from the rebound.
Pensilva came back with a goal from Tony Rogers after 22 minutes and were ahead on 28 minutes after John Firth scored.
After the break, Stratton substitute Jimbo Walsh equalised for the home team and just after the hour Stratton re-gained the lead when Aaron Westlake put Ed Lloyd in on goal and he made no mistake. Stratton increased their lead when Walsh crossed for Nick Purcell to score, but with 10 minutes to go John Firth scored his second for Pensilva to set up a tense finish. Pensilva pushed for the equaliser but Strattons defence held out.
