Strokes FC were founded in 2006 and have played in the Thanet Sunday Football League for the past six seasons. We achieved four consecutive promotions, winning the 3rd Division Championship in 2007/08, then the 2nd Division double, before being promoted as cup-winners into the Premier Division where we finished a respectable 3rd in 2010/11 and then slipped to 7th at the end of 2012.
Success on the pitch has been matched by the fantastic spirit and growth of the club as a whole. A huge, committed squad are supported home and away by a large, dedicated following of supporters.
For the season 2011/12 we changed name to Lanthorne Strokes in recognition of our after game hosts and are proud to now be based at the home of Thanet football, St.Lukes football ground.
After founding the club in 2006 Mark Tyman takes a backward step for season 2012/13 and hands over the management duties to Gareth Watkins for the dawning of an exciting new era in the clubs history.
