On 5th May saw Tudor visit Sutton in our last Reserve Division West Fixture of the season.Knowing that if we won today we would win the league the talk before the match was about Tudor coming to us to spoil our party........We piled on the pressure from the first minute and Tudor could not live with our tempo. We took the lead as early as the 5th minute with a glorious left footed shot across the keeper into the far corner by Tom Eldridge.Tom then doubled our lead only 3 mins later challenging one defender in the air and the other defender unable to stop the ball crossing the line. Then Mr "I`ve never scored a hat trick"did exactly that on 30 mins with superb right footed volley from the edge of the box.You know its your day when its 3-0 against Tudor at half time with Tom Eldridge scoring a first half hat trick ! Tudor then had a 10 min spell of pressure at the start of the second half but we defended very well and when Stuart Hammond was brought down in the box for a penalty on 70 mins and Ben Weighill stepped up and sent the keeper the wrong way and made it 4-0 we once again piled the pressure on .Just 5 mins later saw the Tudor keeper make a terrible error in picking up a back pass.Dan Kelly stepped up and when the ball was rolled to him he drilled home to make it 5-0 on 75 mins. Then came the icing on the cake when the impressive Stuart Hammond turned well and fired home from the edge of the box on 80 mins. The match finished Sutton 6 Tudor 0.WE ARE SUTTON !! WE ARE CHAMPIONS !! get in !! Thank You to all the players that have played for us this season especially Neil May,Soli Jackson and Paul Curtis, may you all recover from your broken legs soon x .
