Rovers gain promotion and reach two semi finals!
Swindon Village Rovers gained promotion to the top cheltenham sunday league division after finishing second to RSG. Rovers pushed RSG all the way to the final two games and drew both league encounters with them 4-4.
With the last two games arriving, Rovers needed to win them both and add 13 goals to their goal difference to win the title from RSG who had already completed their season. They fell short after a depleated side could only manage a 1-1 draw with Dobells after Captain Mike Wilson had been red carded.
Further to an impressive league campaign, Rovers reached the semi final of both the league cup and the county cup, losing to RSG (league cup) and Shurdington Misfits (county).
