A great match to watch for the unbias spectator with everyhing you-d want from a game.ven though the season is naring its end there were still committed challenges fom both sides and given we had a verylenient Referee this made the game all the more entertaining.A strong wind that wasmade the most of in the first half by our hosts allowed them a dubious free kick on the edge of the box that the Heywood forward did well to keep low and slip past Dan Foster after passing under the wall.ot down hearted by this Swinton gave a spirited fight abck and after seeng 2 chances wasted and narrowly passng the post leading goal scrorer Mike Haworth slid one past the oncoming keeper. All quare at half time and with the wind in our favor Swinton should have made the most of it but a lapse in concentration by Lindleyallowed Heywood an easy 1 on 1 with Foster and the forward had the upper hand.Continued pressure from the Swinton front line and good wing work from Houghton and McLoughlin paid dividends for Mcdermott who ended his barren spell ith a neatly taken side foot past the keeper.Solid defending throughout the second half from Court, Hutchby,Cowperthwaite and Lindley and strong tackling as ever from Royle in the center allowed Powell the opportunity to slide Mcdermott in again for his second and Swintons third ad decisive goal.We never looked troubled in the latter stages and with only Sullive-Corbelle as a sub we maintained a good work ethic and the momentum was with us as we deseredy took all three points.
