We are a thriving organisation with more than 200 boys and girls from the Infant and Junior Schools registered as members.
The club was set up in 1997 and, in 2007, we gained FA Charter Standard Club status, a best practice guide that sets standards of coaching, club administration and child protection.
In 2004, the club established a dedicated girls coaching session and, in 2006, we started working with Chelsea FC's Community Team, who provide us with regular sessions run by professional coaches.
Our own coaching sessions take place on Saturday mornings during the Autumn and Spring terms. Reception and Year 1 girls and boys hold their sessions at the Junior School whilst Year 2 and Year 3 girls and boys train at the Kingston Grammar School (KGS) playing fields on Summer Road. Year 5 boys also train at KGS and Year 6 play at Imber Court.
The coaches are all parents of children from the two schools and each year group has two or more coaches, at least one of whom is qualified to The FA Level 1.
Most year groups hold friendly matches against other schools and some join local leagues. A major feature in the club calendar is the tournament we hold at the end of the Spring term, when each year group divides up into four teams for a round-robin competition.
The club also runs a number of social and fundraising events, including parents football and cricket matches. Each summer we send a Year 6 team to a residential tournament, which is now a regular event.
