1) At what age did you become interested in football?
I was playing football when I was six-years-old. I played football at home with my brother and always played at school so I-ve played since I can remember.
2) Did you/do you play? If so who for and what position?
I don-t play anymore. I used to play left-back or as a left-winger because I-m left-footed. My preferred place was
left-back and I played for school teams mainly.
3) What made you decide to become a youth football coach?
My oldest boy was so into football and he wanted to play. There wasn-t a team so I started one up myself and that-s why I-m there.
4) What is your favourite and least favourite aspect of the role?
Favourite: Seeing the kids enjoy themselves.
Least Favourite: There-s nothing I really dislike about the role. To be honest, possibly the admin side but that doesn-t bother me too much.
5) If you could change one thing about the game what would it be?
I would change the way the games are being referreed. I would put in a video referee like in rugby so there-s no cheating as the ref doesn-t always get to see everything. Video technology would make the game fairer for everyone with better decisions and teams not losing unfairly.
