LEP League Secretary Barry Haughey

Theatre Boys Chairman Barry Haughey said goodbye to his duties as LEP league Secretary,after 8 years doing a great job for the league.
Barry as been involved with Sunday league Football since 1980 as a fund raiser in the Theatre Hotel for Theatre Boys Fc.One of very few players to have scored on his first game for the Boys,30 october 1988 playing New Eccleston.He hung up his boots in 1996 having played 9 games and scored 1 goal.
During his none playing days Barry could be seen running the line for Boys before being temptered into Referee job by Jim Bryson in 1996.Barry then joined the LEP league management commitee in 2001 as Reguistration Secretary and then league secretary in 2004.

Barry during this time was still involved with Theatre Boys Fc joining their Commitee in 1987 and becoming the Chairman in 1990.He was also the clubs main sponsor during 1992/1997/1998/1999 and also still makes a donation to the club each year.
Barry is a very keen horse racing man and can be seen each Saturday in the Old Black Bull running the nap school.Also been involved in owning 2 race horses,Kool katie and Reset to fit.Barry also will have another horse in training during the 2012 flat season,having given up the other 2 horses.


Barry as also won the LEP league Personality of the year in 1997/1998 season and won TBFC clubman of year in 1988/1989 season.  
Barry had to step down due to work and family commitments.At LEP League meeting barry was presented with a Memento by league chairman Kep Simcox      

 

F A Charter Standard

Theatre Boys FC have Retained their Charter Standard following the new Health check during 2010/2011 season.
Confirmation of successful health check received 31 May 2011,after updating of LFA records for our Volunter workforce.


Manager Phil White completing his level 1 coaching award and John sumner renewing his first aid qualification.
Also other committee members including Steve Collinson and Anthony Chattell have taken LFA courses.


Assistant Manager Peter Kehoe is due to take his Level 1 coaching award some time during the new season.

Paul Day Theatre Boys leading goal scorer in Season 2010/2011 with 29 Goals in 24 games.Scoring 5 goals on 17/04/2011 v Penwortham Hill Rovers.
At Lancashire Evening Post Sunday Football league AGM on 06 June 2011 at Acregate Lane Labour club, gets leading goalscorer in Division 1 LEP League.
Paul now scored 74 Goals in 74 games for Theatre Boys.

This shows the team from the 1992/1993 Season in August in LFA Sunday league Cup V YMCA Lytham,before the LEP Sunday league Season had Kicked off.
Boys lost the game,but does anyone remember the score?
Boys in there 19Th season in the LEP League and celebrating their 21St Anniversary.

Theatre Boys in September won the Lancashire Evening post league performance of the month.
Boys won there first 5 games of the season:
23/08/2009 V Ashton-On-Ribble 6-1 in cup
27/08/2009 V Hoole atheletic 6-3 in League
30/08/2009 v Penwortham town in LFA Sunday cup
03/09/2009 V Preston city 9-4 in League
06/09/2009 v Fulwood garrison in Cup.
Manager Phil White picked up the award from sponsors of POM Bodylines at the League september Meeting.
