The Gate AFC was formed in 2006 by 3 local lads Craig Mcdonagh,Jason Stevenson and James Mcquade.
In our first season in The Leeds Red Triangle League we managed to complete a Double of The league and cup with a team made up of a bunch of lads from the pub. In our second season, we managed to top the league again and finished on a high with some of our players deciding to "hang their boots up" giving some of the newer players a chance to shine in the 3rd season. This season (3rd) we have moved into the Wakefield and District League and in our opinion have a great squad. High expectations are set already and hopefully we will carry on our success.
