Overall a thoroughly enjoyable weekend for the 9 lads who went to Newquay, for the End Of Season Cup. Great weather, great beer,great dancing(!) and a great time.
Hopefully, we'll arrange another trip next year, and with a bit more warning, more people will come.

JONESY CLEANS UP!
Steve Jones, on the same day he signed as the new Shamrock manager, collected The Players' Player Of The Year and The Managers' Player Of The Year. Gary, 2nd and Sean, 3rd, as voted by their team-mates.
The same night,a raffle draw raised £200 for the club. Thank you to everyone who donated a prize, bought a ticket and turned up to the end of season party.


SHAMROCK FINSISH 3RD!!!
After a rollercoaster 8 months, Shamrock should be happy with their best seasons ever, with a cup semi-final appearance and a position of 3rd in the league. Even though,their will be disappointment not to win it, the best team always wins the league and Ace Fabrication deserve it for winning 9 out of 10 games, during an energy sapping April.Congratulations to them,whilst we can learn from our experiences this season, progress and try to improve for next season.

GARY DAVIS!
Sunday XI beat Saturday XI 4-2 on Thursday night. Gary comes on at half time to change the game, nearly scoring on 2 occasions.

In true George Lucas style this story begins in the middle, the first part

“Green Army,All week” comes out in the summer starring Nick Arnold as Pat and Stevo as Martin. Rumours are rife that David Beckham is lined up to make his acting debut as a young Karl, yet this has yet to be confirmed as he has other commitments in June and refuses to miss his holiday for anything.

It was a cold winters night on the streets of Bos Vegas. The two scary cab drivers, Wallace and Gromit, (Names have been changed for legal reasons) were bored. Even though it was a busy night in town they hadn’t had a ride in hours. They were really scary!

“Let’s start a Football team” said Wallace

“What is Football” said Gromit, thinking his partner had gone mad, the late nights and endless hours searching for a bride on the internet must be taking its toll. He wasn’t far wrong.” Football is a game you plonker” said Wallace, thinking that David Jason should play him in the movie. “If you play football, football is simple”, he had heard a pimp in a black suit say that one night in The Academy.

“Why not” said Gromit, he would regret those words later.

As night turned to day on the seedy streets of Bos Vegas a man in a hoody walked by. Gromit watched him carefully, he had made seven pound fifty that night and no-one was going to take that away from him. The hooded stranger walked in to the Snooker Club.

“Hi Wallace” said Beavis

“Nice Hoody “ said Wallace “still on that Asbo I see”.

“I’m starting a football team said Wallace are you allowed out on Sunday Mornings?”

That was it he had a secretary who didn’t know what football was and a one player.

The Academy football club was born.
