The Ship FC had a very good first season under the new name and management and finished the season in 2nd place a goal manager Lee Hayward had set before the season. The team played well thoughout the season losing just twice to winners British Lion OC. Highlights of the season include the emergence of new young signings Toby Dawson, Scott Cunningham, Danny Amorouso and Liam Milburn and also the percival brothers. Manager Lee Hayward added 31 goals to his teams tally and another old head at the club Captain Mark Townsend also had a great season and was pleased to gain runners up via promotion as it was the first time in a long career the club had been promoted by finishing in the top 2.
So all in all a good season and The Ship will be hoping to Sail into next season even better then before.
