Thirsk were away to Harrogate Railway this week and straight from kick off Harrogate were attacking our goal. Thirsk Defense stayed strong and got the ball up the pitch but never looked like scoring. Thirsk Keeper Ellie was on form as Harrogate made numerous attacks on goal. Thirsk made some attacks as they settled their football down with some good passes and challenges in the middle of the pitch, Leah broke through and had a shot on goal which went wide. with Thirsk adding more pressure to the Harrogate goal, Harrogate made some good counter attacks through the Thirsk defense that had pushed up to pressure Harrogates goal defenders Hayley Lauren Shelbie and Eve all tracking back to close the ball down. with the score 0-0 at half time thirsk were encouraged and started the second half as they finished the 1st half with good passing. with the ever mounting pressure Thirsk were putting on the Harrogate goal Leah broke the deadlock. Thirsk kept battling and had more shots on goal and some good goal keeping from Harrogate-s keeper kept Thirsk out. Niamh got the 2nd Thirsk goal holly almost made it 3-0 but her shot just hit the post. Harrogate never gave up and made some attacks on the Thirsk goal but Ellie-s quick reactions kept them at bay. Leah and Niamh were both rewarded with another goal a piece to bring the score to 4-0.
