Thorney Bay formed in 2001, they where first know as the Thorney Bay Youths. In 2003 they joined the champion soccer Waterside division 2. In 2008 they where promoted to division 1. In june 2009 the were selected to play in the lucky 8's FA umbro 5's at wembley, where they lost in the final.In there first 5- aside since wembley we made the playfootball final only to come runners up again.in the 2011 season thorney bay went on to first win the cup and finish runners up in the league.Thorney also played at wembley for the second time firshing second in the group winning 2 or the 3 games but sadly didnt make the next round as only the top team qualifed this year. Thorney bay where named champions of the waterside prem playing 18 games winning 14 drawing 2 and losing 2 scoring 62 conceding 17 and finishing with 44 pts.
