Major Honours      Won County League with Haywards Heath, won Metropolitan
                               League at Arsenal, represented Sussex and London

Favourite Away Ground    Bognor, but I really liked Highbury and I think that we
                                           have a great ground here at Three Bridges

Most Memorable Game Watched     Arsenal winning League at Liverpool and
                                                          RUR Cup Final when we beat Selsey 4-0;

Most memorable Game Played        When I scored the winning penalty, two
                                                          minutes from time to clinch promotion
                                                          against Hastings

Biggest Influence on my Career   My Wife (Hazel), but whilst playing at Arsenal,
                                                       Scottish International David Herd was superb

Hobbies / Likes     Collecting cigarette cards and British War medals,
                               Reference Books, Boot Fairs, Family Holidays

Dislikes                  Lack of Immigration Laws, Arguing, Paying Tax
 

Having originally joined us at the start of the 1970/71 season as a Player Coach, Alan has  -  apart from a break when his children were growing up  -  been with us virtually ever since, the last twenty years being spent in his role as Chairman.
