A strong performance from Thurston saw them take 3 vital points off their local rivals, a strong first half saw them create chance after chance however a singlegoal fom Michael Williams was all they took in at half - time. Cockfield somehow created an early opening in the second half and equalised. But Dan Wright got behind the cockfield defence and fired Thurston back in the lead. Not long after Phil White cut in onto his left foot and found the top corner. Ryan McLees and Michael Williams both had chances to increase the lead. Cockfield reduced the arrears after a corner. Some awful refereeing then saw Thurston lose Phil White to a red card.
