For the first 25 minutes we played very well, having a penalty awarded for Lepton handling in the box, Mel made sure we were 0 - 1 in front. Unfortunately by the end of the game it was a very different result, not our best performance we allowed Lepton to run at us without putting up much of a challenge. The difference in divisions showed and they put 10 goals passed us. Chins up girls, week off next week and then back to it against Killinghall Nomads. Special mention for Megan as captain, who right to the very end tried to boost the girls and never gave up, one of her best games so far!
As we will not be training on Mon 27/10 we will be training at blackgates school sat 1/11 at 10am in preparation for the game on 2/11 away to Killinghall Nomads

After the longest journey this season so far, we travelled to Ilkley. Now I know this is normally a tourist place to go and the girls must have thought they were on holiday, as 1st half they did not turn up. Taking nothing away from the goal by Ilkley which was an excellent shot from well outside the area. But Tingley did not show the work ethic or any signs of the passing they had previously. Second half there were signs of improvement and Tingley had more of the ball but a bad day at the office and we went down 1-0. Never mind always next time......MOM went to Titch who put in a gutsy performance despite not feeling at her best.
Our opposition had not lost yet this season so this was going to be a tough test.
However, the girls had a fantastic game and all played well, working hard for each other. An excellent goal from Mel was enough to secure a 1-0 victory. Tingley dominated possesion 2nd half and were unlucky not to get another couple of goals.

After dominating the first half and scoring a great goal by our captain Laura, we huffed and puffed through the second half. Despite looking the better side until we got the second goal we always looked like we were going to concede and throw it away. But the last ten minutes another goal from Laura (it must have been that armband) and a great goal from Demi, gave us our first win of the season with a 0-3 victory!
Mel had a fantastic game, creating all sorts of problems and some great corners, MOM, Well Done everyone
