So we ended the season with a good win, and overall we managed to get some results in the bag before the campaign ended. It was a right battle for 90mins at Lisvane and the boys fought tooth and nail for the win, so well done to them all.
Cookie brought immense quality for us, and we've missed that for most of the season. I'm also grateful for the return of Pete Docherty, he played well on his comeback too. The win might be more significant than just the 3 points, we'll have to sit tight and see how it pans out over the summer.
A nightmare season all in all - this is a club and a squad (myself included) to which losing is an alien concept so the last 9 months has been an awful experience. I'm determined to put things right in the summer, with the backing of the committee.
A huge mention for Scott Cook and Lee Griffiths, both of whom had swansongs on Saturday; and both went out with brilliant individual performances. They seem to think they-re going to retire but I'll be doing all I can to change their mind!!
