Torphins AFC History

During the 2001-2002 Season Torphins went on a momentous cup run which culminated in playing local rivals Aboyne in the Chattan Rovers Cup Final which was played at Mineralwell Park Stonehaven.TAFC came from being 2-0 down to win 3-2 resulting in the clubs first trophy since the 1976-77 season where the club won the Divison Four title

During the clubs history TAFC have gone up through the leagues only to fall back down, then become a bit of a yo yo club, as with any team on there day they could play any team off the park but maintaining consistency was difficult and had it not been for certain indivudials surely the club would have folded may years before it happened.

Through the decades TAFC have always had a good local following,there were seasons where busloads used to travel to away games and scottish cup ties which in a small community (at the time) was fantastic and gelled the locals together

With TAFC being reincarnated, we hope that we can bring back that atmosphere within the community and people can be proud of following the local team
