Ryan sharp broke down right weaved into area passed square to Tom Nodder who shot was saved well by keeper but George Carrolls first of season arrived at far post to put Townville in front against run of play. Both teams battled for rest of first half but no further goal mouth action. Townviille defence came under pressure for periods in second half but solid defending by the defence held strong Ryan Callear Andy Catterall Chris Rogers and Jordan Hartshorne, Ben Rudge and Brenton Johnson tackled solidly in midfield while Matty Callear created chances up the other end.With 3 minutes left Pontefract got their equaliser after a scramble in tnhe area Townville didnt clear lines and were punished with a tidy shot over keeper Nick Wright. within a minute Townville restored lead, when McNamara broke from midfield and hit the winner over the keeper from 25 yards. A Good local derby where a draw would have been a fairer result but good finishing and solid defending earnt Townville the points MOM for Townville Jprdan Hartshorne with Most effort award going to McNamara and Johnson
