This season saw the start of another younger team for the club. after the success of last seasons u-17's the coaches were looking for a new challenge and after an initial trial period the U-14's team was set up.The majority of the players are in the older age bracket but we do have a few players from u-13's who we felt were good enough to make the step up.
Although nothing will be expected from the team in the early part of the season, its hoped that once the players settle in a decent quality of football will be played.
As with all new teams it will take the players a while to gel together but early signs throughout the summer training has been very encouraging.
In junior football, should all players be given the same amount of time on the pitch during a game, regardless of ability?
Yes, always. Getting kids involved is the most important thing.
Yes, unless it is an important game.
No. Winning is important at all ages, so the best players should play more often.
