Scanlans Property Management LLP was formed in 2009 by the partners of Stevens Scanlan LLP to look after the ever increasing portfolio of properties under its management. Stevens Scanlan was founded in 1854. It is a leading independent multidisciplinary property consultancy combining the skills of the Valuer, Surveyor and Property Manager. Its expertise includes valuation, industrial, commercial and residential building surveying, property management, planning development finance and project management. We combine these skills to deal with our clients’ property requirements on a flexible and client-centred basis. Each partner has a particular area of expertise and also fully appreciates and understands the expertise of the other partners. This makes for genuine partnerships and successful teamwork. We offer a wide range of property services to an ever-increasing and diverse client base. Our experience covers the industrial, commercial, retail and residential fields in the public and private sectors. Our clients range from multinationals and institutions to small businesses and private individuals. Our reputation has been built on quality and personal recommendation. We offer a nationwide service, having offices in London, Manchester, West Midlands, Leeds and Cardiff. The practice has 7 member partners, 5 further partners and a combined workforce of 81 nationwide. We aim to understand as much as possible about our clients’ businesses and their objectives and tailor our own service accordingly. We are members of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and the Association of Residential Managing Agents (ARMA). Membership of these organisations provides a high level of support and regulation which is of benefit to the partners and staff and also to our clients. There is no legal requirement for a managing agent to be regulated and many are not. Managing agents like ourselves have a unique and important role to play in managing other peoples homes and money – a role that requires an in-depth knowledge of residential management, a wide range of skills and the utmost professionalism. As members of the RICS our standards of quality are strictly regulated. However, ARMA is the only body in England and Wales which exclusively regulates the management of residential leasehold blocks of flats and so we can demonstrate to our clients that we also meet ARMA’s exacting quality standards by operating within their strict code of practice.
