Highs and Lows in mixed bag of a season for Wizards
If we look at the hard facts surrounding the 2010/11 season, it was actually quite a successful one. The Wizards finished in 8th place in Division 1, for the most part comfortably clear of the "drop zone". They reached the last 16 of the Manchester County Cup for the first time and were only a penalty shoot out away from reaching the league cup final. Some memorable performances saw famous victories and a number of very narrow defeats against strong opposition.
However, mixed in with this were a number of performances to forget which perhaps were allowed to overshadow some of the high points of the season.
The overarching message was that, if the squad can be added to in some key positions, this team will be a force to be reckoned with in 2011/12.
