05/06 season was a mixed bag for Verona. After suffering relegation in two successive seasons the team really turned it around and made a real effort to win the league. We made it to the divisional cup semi final where we unfortunately lost 2-1 after leading much of the game 1-0 against Roma who went on to win the cup. With a matter of 3 games left it was in the hands of Verona where the title would end up, win all 3 and we would be crowned champions but unfortunately we lost 1-0 to eastside rovers to put the boot into our title charge. We finally ended up the season in third place behind Upminster B and champions Roma.

A hard fought season but with very little to show for it at the end. Roll on 06/07.
