VFC KEYZ (FORMERLY The Villagers F.C.)

In 2005, Neil Morgan and I started a six a-side session amongst friends. Neither of us had played for a number of years (Neil since school and me well over 5).
The session grew from strength to strength and decent players surfaced with a keen interest in an 11 a-side friendly against a local side.
Neil and I went one step further and with sponsorship from our employer (Simply Mobile Solutions, the business mobile phone specialist, 01905 613828) we ordered kits and raised money to pay for league entry.
In our first season, using nothing but the six a-side boys, we finished a creditable 11th place. The 2nd season with the addition of 2 or 3 new players we were promoted in 4th place, missing out on the title in the last two games.
Last season was not so brilliant with several of our players doing a number on us, some leaving for better clubs and others moving abroad or away.
This is when VFC KEYZ was born the revolution started in the Cross Keys, Malvern. Several pints and even more shots with Planty and the lads and we were talking shop! Several players showed a keen interest and actually signed for the remaining few fixtures of 08/09. In which we won 2 of the 3!!
Again a new kit, a new sponsor and a new set up involving Adam Harris, Steve Morgan, Nic Lancett, Ryan Mears and Alex Peck has seen "The Village People" rise once more under a new banner.......VIVA LA VFC LOVE!!!! xxx
