As we are all probably aware now, Wilko has transferred to this weeks opponents Inter Town F.C.
Wilko has scored a few goals already for them as you would expect but not to be too single minded before kick off we'll be having a "look" at the other players!
Wilko will most likely be joined up top by Westy, a small lad who's quite nippy himself. The only other player who will almost certainly offer them a good dead ball is Gav Smith, who played for us a couple of seasons ago but due to the change in pitch from his door step to Malvern, unfortunately, Gav parted company with the side having scored on his debut in a memorable victory over league champions that season, NWR, 5-3!
Man of the match from last week, Colesey, and I are now available this week but not the Nunnery game :/
I will be leaving Colesey in, but I'm not gonna let anything else out of the bag until Sunday.
Stu Hill returns to the squad, subject to completion of fine payment this week. Planty is available again, Dave Reynlds, who scored twice on his debut and collected the man of the match will also be available.
VFC EASY VICTORY LOVE X ;D
Season 1 and we are in the last 16 of the cup!!! this week we travel to Fleece in Studley, Redditch. With a squad of 17 available (so far) I am entirely confident we will not only give our higher ranked opposition a game but beat them easily!!!!
We will be announcing the side Sunday morning pitchside but with a couple volunteering to watch the first half, at least, and several with poor attendance in recent weeks, I will be sticking to most who started the last few games with little rotation. Nasher, Ad and myself have all watched in recent weeks so it is inevitable that some of the "favourites" thus far will start on the bench over the next few games.
We should all have the entire confidence of Adam and I though when we say we can win this cup and get promoted this season if we keep battling for each other as we have this far!!!
VFC LOVE X
I have asked the league to postpone our game on the 20th as it looks like we could struggle for numbers and the pitch is just plain f**ked at the mo!
Ideas for Christmas drinks anyone...? Drop me a text.....I'm back from Cornwall, yes Cornwall, on 27th December, which at the moment is a match day, AWAY so possibly on!! :)
Well it''s VFC'c first Christmas and to go in 3rd is good going...the games we have lost we have lost ourselves and will continue to improve, we've seen one or two come in and they have improved the squad, I am hoping to coax one more and really think we will be pushing that top four and for potential promotion. MERRRRRRRRRRRRY CHRISTMASSSSS! VFC X LOVE XXX
I am trying (hard) to coax one very good player out of retirement but would like peoples views as soon as possible.
We turned up Sunday with 11 men! I understand why some were not available and do not understand why others were not but the fact of the matter is, I think we might require one or two new faces!?!?!?
I for one want competition, I felt good Sunday and thought I was one of a number who gave 110% but as manager, I would certainly have been looking to pull one, two or maybe three off at points in the match. As manager I didn't have the option to and change the game in any way, as a player I had little choice but to run myself into cramp mode!!
Dave Pereira is hopefully going to sort his transfer out this week and, as said, I am hoping to sort one other out if he is up for it.......we have another side to be concerned about in this league and to beat them we will need a full squad singing off the same hymn sheet............VFC LOVE xXx
This week will see our toughest test placed infront of us. Ashton Under Hill are top of a good standard Evesham league and we will not even have the advantage of turning up, as we did this week, and recognising any of the players.
The positive is they will be thinking the same. They'll see we lost to Powick B, struggled against the Vaults and have come into some form recently. They will not know though that Griff & Wilko have no left foot, Colesey is our best finisher, Nath's P**S weak in the air, Roly hates a 50/50 and that Peck & Ad NEVER look for NUTS!!
We have as much of a chance in this cup as the next team, including Ashton, let's go out there and make sure we are one of the few Worcester League sides left in this competition when the final whistle blows. I've checked out their site and based on the stats kindly provided we will start in familiar fashion and go for the throat! Nic will play where he played this week, 3 goals and a good all round game were one of many positives to take from the game. Andy, although awesome at centre back, will move back up top to provide a massive goal threat. Nasher has asked to sit this one. This opens up a slot to someone, stepped forward Jamie Plant. If Roly is available I will have a selection head ache....that said....IT'S ONE I WANT!!!!!! :)
