Sport has been an important ingredient of the Vulcan village community for over 150 years. Football has always formed a vital part of this and many succesful sides have come from the area.
In April 2006, Manager Andy O'Connor's under 12's joined 3 youth/open age teams in taking the Vulcan name and, following some good showings in pre season tournaments, Vulcan Juniors entered the Warrington League Div 4.Promotion was earned in the teams first season, and Vulcan Juniors will be in Div 3 for the 2007/2008 season.
