Coming from Preston (London Rd) head left before the Capital Centre towards Higher Walton/Bamber Bridge. Carry straight on at the mini roundabout (straight after the petrol station) The rec is approx 80 - 100 yards on the right (entrance between 2 houses) directly across from sigh post on the left.
If you reach the Garden centre you've gone too far!
