Managers Comments:
I run the team with the help of my brother Gurj who is the assistant Manager and together we have coached, developed and nurtured the boys into becoming a top Premiership team for our age group.

I started Managing the Walton team when my son Christian was six years old and have kept the core of my team together over the last six seasons.
Most of boys have been together from the age of six, starting at the bottom having developed and enjoyed their younger days playing seven a side football. All the boys in the team have worked hard in training and have become a good footballing eleven a side team over the past two season.
We are looking forward to the new season ahead as we move up to U13s level.

Achievements/History.

In 2004/05 as U9s, we finished 3rd in the league and lost in the Semi Finals of the Challenge Cup to Red Rose.
We had a real chance of the double at the time but fell short at the last hurdle. It was a great season for the boys who have shown they have grown into an exciting footballing side.

We finished Runners up in the Mid Lancs Colts Super League U10s division in 2005/06 season.
Losing the title and our only match on the last day of the season against the eventual winners Gillibrand Warriors.
Both teams were unbeaten going into this game.
We played 24 games Won 20 drawn 3 and lost the decider 2-1. We also scored 102 goals and conceded only 12. A fantastic season as we moved up to play 11 a side football next season.

At 11 a side in our first season as U11s we finished 2nd in Preliminary stages and 4th overall in Div A.
We were also Semi Finalists in the Challenge Cup but lost narrowly 4-3 to Ladybridge who were to do the double.

Last season (2007/08) at U12s we finished 8th overall in Premier League and had a 2nd round exit in Cup and 4th roundd exit in LFA Cup to eventual winners Furness Rovers.

JET SET LIMOUSINES

Kevin Hinds who runs his own Limousine business has kindly sponsored the team for the past two seasons.
Kevin has kindly donated money for two new football strips for the team.

Kevin has also supported me with our application to make our new home venue at Farington Parish Playing Field which we have been successful with thanks to the Farington Parish council.

Kevin's son Declan joined the club midway through the U10s seven a side season and has developed into a decent football player.
Declan has worked hard in training and has listen to the coaching we have given him, shown determination in improving his game and is enjoying his football at the club.

What is the best way to settle a cup tie that is level after normal time?
Extra time, then penalties
Straight to penalties
Golden goal extra time, then penalties
Golden goal all the way, removing one player from each team at regular intervals
Extra time, then shootout - players start on halfway and have 15 seconds to shoot
Might as well just toss a coin!
