WALTON BATTLE WELL BUT HIT FOR SIX WITH WEAKENED SQUAD.
A bare boned Walton side once again put up a spirited fight against Barnsley-s best but were undone as numbers told as the game progressed.
Walton put up some stern resistance before the away side struck twice late in the half giving them a slender two goal cushion at the break.
Stringer and Addison played a major role holding the tide back before Walton wilted and once again an understrength side conceeded a further four but never gave up the fight to the end.
Striker Askew hit the bar and performed well with Powell giving his 100% once again filling in at centre half.
The man of the match went the way of Joe Powell with Thomas Barker Askew picking up the oppositions vote.
