Generally a great season for the boys as they made the step up to 11 a side and full sized pitches. After a shock defeat to Grove B or on the opening day of the season the team settled down well and played some excellent football. Although beaten by eventual champions Kidlington and runners-up Oxford City Colts these were close games and Oxford needed a last gasp equaliser in the game at Wantage. The Concords defence proved to be one of the meanest in the League, and up front goals were shared around between Josh Giles, Harry Watts, Dan Grover, Aiden Collins and Jack Smith, with others chipping in from time to time both with goals and assists.
The Cup run was short lived as Crowmarsh showed some A League class, but even then Wantage were not disgraced. Losing the final two games of the season was a disappointment but the team still finished joint third with 13 wins and a draw from 20 games. Good performances in a couple of the summer tournaments bodes well for the start of the new season.
