many thanks to Simon Smith for organising a corporate donation from Henkel to fund shirts for our under 8s. Henkel are a large German company who have a charitable foundation. Monies from that foundation are made available to employees to submit funding requests to for good causes.

Social engagement is firmly anchored in Henkel’s history and corporate values. Henkel Smile provides the umbrella for the company’s international corporate citizenship activities extending beyond direct business interests. We focus on helping people to help themselves. In 2009, Henkel supported a total of 2,265 projects worldwide with an overall budget of over 7.6 million euro.

Henkel supports activities in the areas of social needs, education and science, fitness and health, arts and culture, and the environment.
