The weather turned up for the last game of the season. The game was typical of the games involving the Whites this season. The Whites lined up for the finale with Harry in goal, a defence of Ben, Riley and Bradley. In midfield were Jack, Jorden, Max and Thomas. Reece was on his own up front. Substitutes Jordan and Ralph joined in during the first half.
The first half was evenly contested. St. Albans took the lead after four minutes. However, the Whites regained their compsure to equalise two minutes later. A corner was swung in from the left and Jack headed cleanly into the net. 1-1. Ware took the lead four minutes later. Thomas's persistence paid off down the left and he fired into the net. 2-1. The game then settled down. St. Albans scored two goals in the last 10 minutes of the first half to go into the interval with a lead; 3-2.
The second half was evely contested, with neither team really on top. Ware did play the better football though. The Whites scored through Thomas with 10 minutes to go; 3-3. Was a draw on the cards? Unfortunately not, as St. Albans scored the winner inside the last five minutes, to win 4-3. The team were unlucky to get nothing out of the game.
