No substitutions

1114  KO Upperby
1118  Goal! Warwick struggle to clear the ball after McAleese clears a shot off the line.
1123  Goal! Typical of previous games, 2 goals is enough to reduce the midfield and defence to spectators. Upperby run the ball straight through the middle for an uncontested goal. 3-0
Overheard from the crowd, "We're an equal opportunities team, we even let poor sides beat us!"
1126  Substitution: Page makes way for Guide. Hodge is pushed to midfield and Guide slots in at the back.
1134  Goal! Star player 19 for Upperby beats the midfield and defense on his own with a run from the halfway line and an unstoppable finish. 4-0
1134  Substitution: Hetherington off, Shannan on to revitalise the attack.
1147  Goal! Incredible header 5-0.
1150  Full time.

Another one of those matches where we could have done so much better.
Upperby are an ordinary team with one star player (No 19). He should have been marked out of the game, but instead, he single handedly tore us apart.
To be fair, he started the process, and then we tore ourselves apart.
The body language after 2-0 said it all.
This is a team that can fight back from 4-0 down, but all too often packs in if they find themselves a couple of scrambled goals behind.
It is clear that we are getting physically tougher, but we have much to do to gain the mental toughness to convert game situations into well deserved wins.

Confidence is the key, and it seems to be in very short supply at the moment.
Anyone know a sports psychologist?
