Watton United's 4th Annual Golf Day - 2010
Watton United FC took a break from the World Cup action this month to try their hand on the golf course, at their 4th Annual Golf Tournament.
An impressive total of 23 x 4 man teams competed this year, each paying �35 per head. The competition comprised of 18 holes under stableford rules, with prizes for the individual best score, and team score, taking the best two scores on each hole from each team.
This years competition saw the prestation of the RICK NEAVE cup, in memory of Watton Uniteds former manager, being awarded to the highest scoring indivdiual who has played for Watton United.
The club were pleased to see a number of current club members taking part, together with some familar faces from the past, including ex Watton United Managers Tony Shipp, Bob Taylor, and ex players Andy Hunt, Paul Jarvis, Darryl Woodward, Andy Campbell and Richard Spillman, Ollie Applegate, Karl Pitcher all appearing in teams for the first time. p>

BEST INDIVIDUAL SCORE 1st: B Taylor (47 points) 2nd: h Waters (46 points) 3rd: D Rudling (45 points)
BEST TEAM SCORE 1st: Team Spillman (S Spillman , R Spillman, D Rudling, I Bonser (99 points) 2nd: Team Shipp (T Shipp , G Rowlands, K Kitteridge, T Lyons (97 points) 3rd: Team Wordley (S Wordley, R Bailey, P Legrice, M Mace, Neil Perryman, Stu Nicholls, Ryan Woods (95 points)

Watton United's 3rd Annual Golf Day - 2009
A total of 18 x 4 man teams competed on Friday 3rd July this year, each paying �35 per head. The competition comprised of 18 holes under stableford rules, with individual prizes for the best score, and team prizes, taking the best two scores on each hole from each team.
This Years competition saw the return of the AMYS CUP which in previous competitions was historically awarded to the highest scoring person who has played for Watton United. The 9 hole putting green saw a BRAND NEW PUTTING COMPETITION with the winner taking 70% of the proceeds.
The club were pleased to see a number of current club members, together with some face from the past, including ex Watton United Managers Tony Shipp, Bob Taylor &; Mike Derbyshire and players Trevor Mouncer, Mark Bond, Peter Sales &; David Wilkins. Ex players Tony Devlin, Dave Luckhurst were appearing in a team for the first time.
Winners were as follows :
BEST INDIVIDUAL SCORE 1st: Mark Brown (46 points) 2nd: Steven Bond (45 points) 3rd: Freddie Browne (43 points)

Watton United's 2nd Annual Golf Day - 2008
The 2nd Annual event took place on Friday 18th July at Richmond Park Golf Club with 20 four man teams competing under Stableford rules.
Each team cost �35x4 and included an 18 hole round at Richmond Park Golf Course, BBQ and Prizes for the winners.
WINNERS
Team Stortford Interiors comprising of Mark Woods and 3 work friends (all bandits) took 1st prize a great combined round.
Individual Prize winner award went to Stuart Nicholls.
In addition prizes were award for �longest drive� on hole 9 (Ryan Woods) and �Nearest to the Pin� , which was won by Nicky Thomas, who was playing his first ever round of golf, on the 17th hole.

Watton United's 1st Annual Golf Day - 2007
Watton United�s new Annual Golf Day took place on Friday 15th June with 9 four man teams competing under Stableford rules.
Team Ferrari comprising of Ian Puttock, Stuart Nicholls, Neil Perryman and Chris Softley took home the team prize with a great combined round of 94.
Individual Prize winners were Paul Bond (1st) Rod Wyatt (2nd) and Mike Glenn (3rd). In addition prizes were award for longest drive� on hole 9 (Paul Bond) and Nearest to the Pin , which was won by Kenny Seager from the Banham Poultry team with a hole in 1 shot on the 17th.
The club would like to extend special thanks to Kevin Bloomfield for organising the competition with short notice and Simon Jessop of Richmond Park Golf Club for allowing use of their course for the afternoon.
